Above Kern Canyon (looking southwest) along Wallace Creek close to where it empties into the Kern River, Kern Canyon walls have shrunk dramatically, however the Kern River is still below, out of sight. Some of the Kaweahs are seen in the far distance.
The trail (left) follows Wallace Creek (below) upstream in beautiful, rugged, high Sierra terrain.
