Looking back/southwest at Lake 10542 in the rocky, grassy alpine meadows when heading to the third lake, Lake 10741, on the way to Europe Pass.
In the high alpine meadows amid the mountains, one finds hardy, bright yellow and purple wildflowers on the banks of the creek connecting Lake 10542 and Lake 10741, the second and third lakes on the way to Europe Pass.
Still in the forest, this tiny lake is the first of five lakes when hiking up to Europe Pass. Mt. Victor, 12,254 ft., is the peak (center left) seen to the north-northwest from this lake.
The third lake, Lake 10741, in the alpine meadows at the base of an impressive peak just a stone's throw from the Continental Divide. Looking northwest from the south end of Lake 10741.
On the trail to Europe Pass (no that's not Europe Pass ahead, Europe Pass is still hidden to the left), passing Lake 10741, heading to Lake 10813, the fourth lake on the way to the pass. Lake 10813, is hiding in the bowl (center) just above Lake 10741.
