Wilcox Pass Trail starts off in the beautiful fir forest.
A creek cascades down the upper slopes of Mount Wilcox, to the southwest of the trail. Higher up, the trail crosses this creek.
Left to right - Athabasca Glacier, Snow Dome (hidden in clouds), Dome Glacier, Mt. Kitchener, and Mt. K2, looking southwest past meadows of Mount Wilcox. Snow Dome, the North American triple divide, sends water to the Arctic, Pacific, and Atlantic Oceans.
Tangle Ridge is seen in the distance at Wilcox Pass, looking northwest.
The forest thins into meadows dotted with firs as the trail climbs to Nigel Pass from the Nigel Creek Trailhead. Headwater streams of Nigel Creek run to the left of the trail.
Mountains, snowfields, and glaciers to the south, seen from meadows high on the trail to Nigel Pass from the Nigel Creek Trailhead, almost to the pass.
