The last of the meadows. At 6.5 miles, the trail enters "The Roughs", the narrow canyon at the end of the flat area. Eagle Peak and Victoria Peak are on the left, with the Flatiron Ridge on the right.
After 2 miles on Buckeye Trail, we begin to see green meadows, Jeffery Pine, and higher sections of Flatiron Ridge

Shows route down from Victoria Peak (exterme right) to the bowl. While the terrain is sometimes steep, there are no rocky drop-offs or large blocks of talus that are typical of high Sierra Peaks. View looks over Sawtooth Ridge into Yosemite.
