Checking out the spillway of Dam #5 just across the bridge from the start of this section.
Very easy trail the majority of the way. I saw a few road bikes that werent struggling at all.

Very easy trail the majority of the way. I saw a few road bikes that werent struggling at all.
A road goes under this section of lock 48
One half of an old bridge to cross the lock. The arch was above a flume where the excess water bypassed the lock.
Lock 49
Nice vista looking across the potomac
Dam 5 offers some interesting scenery along the Potomac River.
