This bridge goes off to an area of the trail that holds water pretty bad. We have waterproof boots on and decided to turn around.

My son found this little guy on the trail, we think it's a North American Racer.

My son found this little guy on the trail, we think it's a North American Racer.

Little bluestem prairie grass everywhere

There's a small bridge over a marshy area. Pretty colorful algea, but I think it might be toxic...

All the other wooded areas seem dark; this section is surprisingly light and open

One of the honeylocust trees is reaching out onto the trail.
