The monument on the top of the hill overlooking where the Indian villages were.
The pergola at the monument on the hill allows visitors a chance to sit and reflect upon the events that happened here in November 1864.
The views from the trail are stunning, especially if there are clouds in the sky. Looking back at the monument from the trail really conveys the vastness of the plains.
Looking back at the visitor center that sits in a copse of trees in the middle of the high plains.
On the left side of the trail, you get a great view of the high plains which stretch off into the distance.
