There are parts similar to this, where the trail almost feels overgrown and with a pack on trying to navigate through it, almost feels like it wants to push you towards the edge a steep hill or cliff, depending on the section. Probably needed a machete.

Pinnacle Pass Trail will descend, following Oil Camp Creek in sections which has a few small falls of it own seen from the trail, not sure if any are named.
Not all blaze in trees looking for trail, this part of trail went out by a steep edge maybe not comfortable for some. Provides a great view, overlook areas of trail and behind me was a nice stream running off the slab on my left side the trail crosses.

Not all blaze in trees looking for trail, this part of trail went out by a steep edge maybe not comfortable for some. Provides a great view, overlook areas of trail and behind me was a nice stream running off the slab on my left side the trail crosses.
There will be a lot of slabs like this along the trail, some with a little water running down it which you'll have to work around with little paths or cross following the trail but amazing to look at.
Sections of Pinnacle Pass Trail will require a little climbing, not all spots as comfortable looking as this but some areas like this also make you pause, looking for where the trail goes when it almost feels like a dead end.
I believe that this might be some of an upper part of an earlier fall seen from across Oil Camp Creek. It is a slippery crossing (especially with a pack) and not the only one along this trail but this one had a hand cable to hold onto so no problems.
After Oil Camp Creek, parts of Pinnacle Pass Trail becomes more challenging compared to the first half, giving this trail its difficulty rating and time needed to hike it.
Climbing fast up steep parts of Pinnacle Pass trail, a few openings will give little views out into the surrounding valley you were just at with Oil Camp Creek.
