The stairs go down-canyon. Here is the plank bridge at a fork, either path of which merges back on itself. After crossing the bridge, go left for the grotto, or right for some craggies.
See the Hornet Canyon sign at the fork. Go left for Hornet Canyon or right for Steed Canyon.
