The trail begins to emerge from the woods and views of the South Bay stretch out before you.

The trail borders the preserve boundary. Small shrubs and trees are found here instead of walking through the woods.

The trail ascends the hill through the meadows. Animals can be seen feeding in these fields in the morning and evenings.

Deer feed in the fields and begin bedding-down for the evening.
