Looking east
This was taken just after getting up and over the western rim on the first climb. Time it right and you'll see the sun kiss the Tetons.
A group of runners climb up to "slickrock" on the southern rim.
Near the top, you can still see the western parking lot behind you. This is probably the first of many times you'll ask "who thought this was a good place for a race?!"
It was all smiles just after reaching the rim of the North Menan Butte.
