This will be scrumble come spring.
Looking due south beyond the closest ridge is Mena, a little more south past the Gulf of Mexico to the right lies the ancient ruins of Teotihuacan, and to the left, Pelenque, forming a perfect isosceles triangle. Coincidence?
This ancient (possibly Etruscan) wall guides you through dense hardwood forests along the Rich Mountain Trail (RMT).
Southwestern Arkansas is leafless in winter. Mena Lake can be seen in the distance.
A rock-laden portion of the Rich Mountain Trail makes for a fun challenge. Table Top Boulder (close by) is great for a picnic lunch.
