Looking South from the Francis Peak Trail
Looking back down Bair Canyon after the thigh-burning ascent.
Just topped out from the Bair Canyon trail onto the Skyline Trail. Francis Peak and radar towers in the background. It's (almost) all downhill from here.
The Shepard Creek Trail is very hard to follow, but one of the more interesting parts of the hike is that the trail skirts the under-part of these overhanging cliffs.
