As you move downhill, you can see the North Wilderness trail off in the distance.
The North Wilderness Trail following the ridgeline in this are levels out and offers stunning views in both directions.
The trail climbs away from the high peaks area, climbing toward the hill in the distance.
The picnic area comes into view as you approach the Chaparral area of the park.
The surrounding hillsides in the other direction.
A view of the high peaks from the summit of the hill. It's a great view, but as you can see it's pretty exposed as you have climbed out of the creek area and a majority of the big trees are gone.
