There were many, many bromeliads in the trees in this area. These plants don't have roots in the soil, and store water in their bases. These particular ones were about the size of a basketball.
Another fun bridge - we crossed one at a time.

Another fun bridge - we crossed one at a time.
A passion fruit flower. This area has lots and lots of passion fruit trees.
One of a few places where crossing the river could be accomplished by riding in a small metal cart suspended over the river.
Most of this trail was smooth and easy to walk on.
In addition to the rickety bridges, there were some places where a bit of rock-jumping was needed.
