This is a rocky portion of the trail with a wide area.
A look down into Moorpark and Simi with a view of the 23 in the distance.
The bottom section of the trail provides a lot more shaded areas to hike along.
The water tank as you get closer to the turnoff.
The fire trail along the ridgeline. A little rough but more than adequate.
Make sure to stay on the more worn path. It is easy to take a side trail and be on the wrong track.
After the steeper part of the climb, the rest is a gradual incline.
