Description
Do to its location and relative stability, Perito Moreno is a heavily studied glacier. Easy access to a bird's eye view makes it a powerful tourist draw. The glacier was first noted in 1879 and eventually named after Francisco Pascasio Moreno.
Short Hike: Regular tours and buses head out from El Calafate, Argentina.
