Salt Pond Bay [Suggest Edits]

Description

This crescent-shaped beach proves a great spot to just hang out and spend the day. The beach has shallow waters that are prime for swimming as well as some great sun exposure; perfect for folks looking to get a Virgin Islands sun tan.

If you're willing to swim a little further from the shore, the snorkeling here is amazing. Be on the lookout for rays, giant hermit crabs, and sea turtles. These animals love the dense seagrass beds surrounding the rock hump off the center of the bay.

While you're here, don't miss the hike to Ram Head and/or Drunk Bay.

Short Hike: ~.3 mi from the TH, and ~.6 mi roundtrip.

Family Friendly: If the kids are OK with a little hike, this beach is worth the effort.
