Description

Tumbling over 130 feet from the top to the bottom, Tower Fall is one of the most beautiful and most photogenic attractions in the park. Tower Creek, making its way to the Yellowstone River just 1,000 yards below, plunges over the precipice with thundering force. Members of both the Cook and Washburn Expeditions spent whole days in the area, both to gather information and to appreciate the beauty of the falls. Notice the craggy and worn rocks beneath the falls. Countless years of powerful erosion have carved fantastic shapes out of the underlying stone.

Located very near to the road, this scenic waterfall is almost too beautiful to pass up, and it's a recommended stop on your way through the park.

Short Walk: A paved lookout is located just beyond the parking area, though more intrepid visitors can take a steep, paved trail down to the base of the falls.

Family Friendly: With easy access and spectacular scenery, the whole family will enjoy this short jaunt out of the car.
