Description
This is the only real place along the Ptarmigan Traverse where you have trees and sub-alpine terrain. However, because it is right in the middle of the traverse, it is incredibly serene and unspoiled. This is definitely the most tranquil location along the Ptarmigan Traverse and makes for a great campsite. Views of the surrounding peaks and the opportunity to see a truly isolated forest just within the treeline makes this a worthwhile endeavor.
