This was my first 2 day trek which includes camping at the top of the mountain. We were a group of 5 from different parts of the Mumbai. I and my office friend Jeet started our journey from Kopar to Kalyan via local train. We met the other 3 trekkers at Kalyan Bus Stop which is walking distance from the Kalyan railway station. We took the bus from here which dropped us on a point called khubi phata on highway which is 5 km away from the base village. Then, we started walking towards the Khireshwar base village. At Khireshwar Village, we took some rest and 5 clock in the morning we started our trek to harishchandragad. Before the planning this trek, we visited various sites that helped us to gather information such as local contact at the top of Konkankada, trek route via khireshwar village, food arrangements.

There are three routes for trekking Harishchandragad Trek

1. Trek via Khireshwar Village - Moderate difficulty
2. Trek via Pachnai Village - Easy Difficulty
3. Trek via Nalichi vaat - Hard Difficulty

We chose Khireshwar village route because we were doing trek after a long time.
