App Distance Calibration

Is there a way to calibrate the app? I ask because I seem to get varying degrees of inaccurate distances on the app when compared to my Apple Watch. Some days the two pretty much line up, other days I've seen anywhere from a tenth to fourths of a mile difference, but this past weekend I had a huge difference. My watch recorded 8.6 miles, but Hiking Project recorded 11.2 miles. My watch recordings are closer to the posted/published trail distances, so I'm lean toward it's the Hiking Project that is off. Is there a way to calibrate or any other suggestions?

I have found this app to be off in distance and elevation.  This hike is actually 2.1 miles and 1,100 feet of elevation.  Crazy off!!!

We are aware of the issue and are working on fixing the bug. Thanks for letting us know!

How long has it been happening and when is a fix expected? I cant use this, not even a little, and will need to use an alternative.  I want to support The Hiking Project but incorrect data is hard stop for me.

Keep up the good work!

Anyone know how I can see my stats after I completed a hike? They were there for a moment right as I stopped the tracker but now I can’t find the stats the next day.

Mine show up by selecting the Account Tab on the bottom right then click the Profile Tab on top left.

Thanks. I can get there but the hike doesn’t show any stats. Maybe I didn’t save them correctly.

My last hike, 5.2 miles, showed the time counting while it was recording - no distance or elevation, but when I paused it and saved it, I had no recording saved.  Just like you described.  Very frustrating.

This is fixed with the last update.  My last hike was spot on with distance, time and elevation!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
