Overview
Formed from land donated by members of the Stimpson Family, Whatcom Land Trust, Whatcom County, and the WA DNR the Stimpson Family Nature Reserve comprises a 350-acre plot of old-growth forest and rich wetland environment. Two loops invite users to slow down and connect with nature as they explore the depressions, ridges, trees, plants, and animals that make this a great hidden gem.
Local Info
The reserve is only open to pedestrians so in addition to being surrounded by a fantastic natural setting, hikers will enjoy an uncomplicated trail-use experience. There are no entrance fees and the reserve is open from sunrise to sunset.
