Overview

The 2,700 acres of Washington's oldest state park have a lot to offer hikers, trail runners, equestrian riders, and mountain bikers. Visitors to Larrabee State Park are instantly surrounded by pristine views, secluded lakes, rocky ridges, and old-growth forests found just a short distance from Bellingham.

Local Info

Larrabee State Park has miles of singletrack and doubletrack that connect to surrounding trails in the Chuckanut Recreation Area. Many of the trails explore a steep landscape and most are multi-use and popular with mountain bikers particularly Two Dollar, Ridge Trail, and Double Diamond. The Fragrance Lake Trail and Rock Trail are pedestrian only and are both gorgeous.

Visiting Tips

The park is open to visitors year-round. An annual or day-use Discover Pass is required and can be purchased on site at an automated pay station near the campground. Cleator Road, which accesses the top of many trails and the Cyrus Gates Overlook, is occasionally closed due to inclement weather or fallen trees.

Camping & Lodging

The campground at Larrabee State Park is popular and can fill up quickly during peak season. Reservations can be made online.
