Food & Drink

After the Hike: Local Favorites

French Corner Cafe The almond croissant was ridiculous. Yum!
Chipotle Mexican Grill Great for getting super fat off burritos.
The Blue Orchid Pretty much everything. I love the curries.
Armondos Amazing guacamole, salsa, margaritas
Babe's Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse If your legal drinking age go to the bar and mention Foursquare
Koffi Great outdoor seating area!
Yard House Try the Pear Cider! Skip the Ahi & do the spinach dip instead.
Fresh Agave Ask for the 'Tom Byrnes Margarita'. Larger glass, better Tequila, no salt. To die for.
Wilma & Frieda Definitely recommend the blackberry french toast and the short ribs benedict
Mimmo's Italian Restaurant & Bar The Veal Marsala with polenta was great! They do pastas in appetiser portions and all the raviolis are great. Really enjoyed he cheesecake as well
Real Italian Deli These guys do real Italian sandwiches! Fresh cut meats and cheese. Try on on a torpedo roll. There is a small area where you can eat outside.
Piero's Pizza Vino The pizza is amazing! I love it❤️ even if you don't like tomato sauce, theirs is the best and you have to get it. Plus they also make their mozzarella in house! Yum yum yum
Keedy's Fountain Grill Eggs breakfast special! Shakes are so think& yummy
Eureka Burger Nice outdoors seating , great burgers
Casa Mendoza Enchiladas Mole were excellent as were the beef fajitas. Salsa is addictive and the Cadillac margarita were amazing.
Tony's Burgers Gluten free buns!
Grill-A-Burger The Gobbler is the best turkey burger I have ever eaten! Add avocado and a little mustard, mayo, and ketchup and you've got yourself a treat!!
Sherman's Deli & Bakery Pastrami and Pasteries GALORE!
In-N-Out Burger The very best hamburgers in USA. For the foreigners you gotta know they don't use mayo, the used a dressing made by them

Dry - The most difficult part of the trail, for me, were the sandy washes that slowed pace and made following the trail hard.

Snowy, Some Mud, Icy - Snow coverage at 30% for the first mile (1-mile). The rest of the trail has a snow coverage of 80%, with icy spots along the shade areas. Traction equipment advised, still not required. *Danger with Falling Objects* As March 20th, the snow on top of the trees remained solid, wind gusts might weak such ice blocks, creating a hazard for hikers among the trail. The last stretch of the trail before reaching Saddle Junction should be taken with extreme precautions. Discard this warning if snow it's no longer present on trees.
