Need to Know

Try to catch the train ride at the end. It's about an hour up and back. It's called the Belfast and Moosehead Lake train.

Description

A section of old railroad bed was recently converted to a greenway. It's a wide and well-maintained trail. The surface is packed gravel, great for walking, running, or biking. It's out-and-back. The station for the Belfast and Moosehead Lake scenic train is at the end, so if you plan it right, you could hike to the station, and enjoy four more miles up the line and back.

Flora & Fauna

Birds, squirrels and chipmunks.
