No parking permit required. Bathrooms exist at the trailhead.

Description

Departing from the large parking lot this trail winds slightly left before curving right to parallel Holder Creek. There are numerous views of the creek and opportunities for creek access. At about one mile in, the trail crosses the creek which ranges from ankle to knee deep. The cool water can be quite refreshing on a hot day!

After crossing the creek, the trail begins to ascend more steeply up Taylor Mountain before connecting with other trails in the network.
