This trail starts at the end of a very nice RV park and begins to wrap around the mountain. What used to be an ATV trail now has logs blocking the path; however, you can tell where riders have gone around the logs.

After leaving the RV park, a little over a mile along the trail, you'll come to a "Y"; take a left to head up the hill. As you head to the top of the mountain, be sure to take the time to look back at the view of the valley. This trail offers plenty of beautiful views looking down on the communities outside of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Also, if you're lucky and look long enough, you may see some deer and elk along the way. The trail ends at the top of the mountain; however, the road continues west and hikers can follow it to the end on Dry Canyon Rd.

There are plenty of trees, shrubs, flowers, deer, elk, and sometimes wild horses.
