Description

Nancy Town Lake Forest Road FS92 is a forest road in the Lake Russell Wildlife Management Area which begins near Nancy Town Lake. It's useful for connecting the Frady Branch and Lake Russell Trail systems to make some really long hikes.

From the Frady Branch Trail System, follow Latham Forest Road FS87C to a left on Sellers Forest Road FS193 to a right on Guard Camp Forest Road FS87 which becomes Nancy Town Lake Forest Road FS92.

Particularly in the 0.5 mile closest to the Frady Branch Trail System, it is generous to call this a road and the trail has more of a singletrack character through the pine forest. Beyond that, it opens up into a dirt/gravel road.

It's named after the Latham family who inhabited the area before it was taken over by the federal government in the 1930's.
