Starting at the Fire Canyon Trailhead take Unconformity Trail to Anticline Trail where you'll see Fire Canyon Trail coming in on your left. This is the most direct route to get to the upper part of the trail system and is a great climb serving as a connector with Island in the Sky or to go down Unconformity Trail. Another great option is to keep climbing Unconformity Trail to Island in the Sky Trail and then head down at the first intersection. Descending this trail is great as it weaves in and out of the wash.
