DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multiuse, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and bikers. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Description

Mine Mountain starts and ends off of Fawn Lake Road in the north and south. It is a decent climb followed by a great descent in both directions. It connects to Fawn Lake Road, Laurel Ridge, Cart, and Scarlet Oak. This is one of the best trails of the DuPont system.
