Description

Plateau Trail meanders through grassland on the Cypress plateau, and aspen and lodgepole pine forests. This dirt trail has a few roots and smooth sections on it and is the connector that joins Horseshoe Canyon Trail, Beaver Creek Trail, Mitchell Creek Trail and Mystery Trail.

When coming from Horseshoe Canyon Trail toward Beaver Creek Trail, it is smooth, fun and rolling; when coming from Mystery Trail towards Beaver Creek Trail, it is a little more up to Ferguson Hill Road, which is the last thing you want after climbing Mystery Trail, but the reward is well worth it.

This trail does run right by the Tom Trott Forestry Museum, which may be worth a stop to check out if you never have. Admission is free; it's simply an outdoor, self-guided tour.
