Description

Just up from Slate Creek lies a great group of trails that offer quite a bit of elevation change and diversity.

The trail starts just south of the Slate Point Lookout and dives into Little Van Buren watershed. It comes out just at the old Slate Creek Administration site corrals, 4.7 miles from US95 and the town of Slate Creek, ID

The trail itself features a fairly steady (and steep!) grade with despite the switchbacks, and rocky and rugged sections.
