Overview

This is a pleasant and scenic loop that makes a stop at the historic Le Foote Hike Inn. Take time to stop in at the Hike Inn. It makes for a great pit stop to use the facilities and refill on water. It's a nice spot to eat lunch or a snack also.

Need to Know

There is a $5 parking fee at Amicalola State Park unless you have a Georgia State Parks annual pass.

Description

This great loop departs from the upper parking area at Amicalola Falls State Park. Start out on the AT Approach Trail (blue blazes), and take the fork right towards the Len Foote Hike Inn. There are green blazes marking the Hike Inn trail. You'll come across the Hike Inn roughly halfway through your trip. Stop here to enjoy a snack, fill up on water, and admire the historic spot.

From there, the loop continues for another mile before ending back at the blue-blazed AT approach trail. Turn left to head back toward the start (turning right will head towards Springer Mtn).
