Description

This is the famous Double Horseshoe Trail, named for the two horse shoes found when creating the trail. Most people decide to take this one in a clockwise fashion, providing more gradual ascents and shorter, steeper descents. The hike up through the narrow valley is great, as there are lots of rocks, roots and elevation changes to keep you occupied.

Even though the area is beautiful, you'll want to either slow down or keep your eyes on the trail, as there are many tripping hazards along the way.

Flora & Fauna

In the fall, this is a beautiful place to admire the changing leaves.
