Description
Basswood Trail is a short, nearly half-mile, mowed grass trail. It features scenic views of oak savanna habitat and a small pond. The trail is commonly affected by weather conditions. Be prepared for slick, muddy conditions after heavy rains.
Flora & Fauna
Visit the Basswood Trail in early spring for stunning views of hundreds of wildflowers like Dutchman's Breeches and Spring Beauties. It is also a unique spot for migrating birds and the occasional river otter.
