Family Friendly Easy nearly flat paved trail. The trail is wide enough to safely travel side-by-side. For the most part the trail is straight; Easy to keep an eye on children.

Open year round.

Description

A beautiful trail that takes you from urban to rural in less than a mile. The trail features a very gentle uphill grade heading away from the Spokane trailhead. You'll be rewarded on your return, as it's all downhill all the way back!

The trail is well maintained most of the year. When this trail was mapped in mid-February there were still a few areas with debris from winter storms.

From the turn around point at Scribner Road (another trailhead)* you can access Cheney-Spokane Road. If you continue on toward Cheney for about 2 1/2 miles you can access the 2nd part of the trail, a 5 mile section that will take you to Cheney.

*At Scribner, the paved trail continues for approx. 2 miles before ending but that section is currently closed to the public.

Flora & Fauna

Most of the trail is through wooded areas. There are some sections of grazing land. A lot of wild flowers and grasses.
