My brother and I did this trail in the winter time. It has a pretty easy incline and terrain, but it was hard to really depict in the winter time with the trail covered in snow. The trail was groomed in some spots and the snow-covered trees were something to see in my book. You can hike up to the warming hut, which is a pretty easy mile up, but pay close attention to the trail and markings especially in the winter since the trail can quickly veer off to the other cutoffs and intersections. If hiking in the winter, use snow shoes and bring a lunch to eat while at the warming hut. I am used to hiking in the Rocky Mountains so this elevation on this trail was pretty easy going.
