Trails closed to bikes December 15th - April 15th. Can be a good time to get out for a hike!

Description

There is minimal parking at the trailhead, although there is some additional room on the shoulder of OH-7 on the opposite side. The Ohio View Trail begins along the Ohio River then follows a winding path designated by yellow diamond-shaped tree markers. Cut into the hills, it winds along stream beds, up and out of the valley, around rock formations, and it tackles a healthy amount of hills.

It climbs several ridges, one of which features a short spur with an overlook of the Ohio River. Jackson Run Trail connects near the end of the trail to Archer's Fork Loop Trail, a more challenging Wayne trail. It then ends at a parking area near the community of Yellow House.

With diverse landscapes and beautiful scenery, this is a highlight of southeastern Ohio!

Did an Out and Back to halfway point from lower trailhead. Ground slip area and run at .3 miles makes for challenging uphill. 7mi — 3h 32m
