Description

The trail begins on the shores of Garland Lake. The lake is full of small fish, frogs, and tadpoles. Relax at the lake and then begin the descent. The top has some creek crossings and short boggy sections. Then you'll emerge into an old burn.

The burn is coming back fast so it will be interesting to see how the area changes over the years. You'll continue through the burn to Warm Springs Creek. The meadow at Warms Springs creek junction can be confusing, but if you make a wrong turn just continue moving to the other side of the meadow and you'll come upon the Warm Springs Trail.

Due to the remote nature of this trail it is recommend that users come prepared since transport out would be very challenging.
