Please respect the restoration closure of the "straight up the hill' route immediately above the parking lot; take the new switchbacks instead.

Description

This is a nice little nature trail that is great for a quick outside jaunt or to take the kids to. From the trailhead, head up the switchbacks to the top of the meadow. It's an easy stroll down through the open, sunny meadow to the Roberts Tunnel Road at the bottom of the meadow. Turn right on the road at the bottom and then another right on the paved rec path to get back to the parking. Or take a left at the bottom and go about 1/4 mile down to the Ridge Trail on your left to loop back to the top of the meadow.

If you are on the trail approaching the parking area be aware that the path shown here is a little off and will make you think you missed a turn to catch the switchbacks down.
