Description

This trail has minimal elevation change and leads you to the tip of Murphy Point with stunning views across Canyonlands National Park. The obvious trail is a straight line for most of the way with sand occasionally making the hiking a bit difficult. Murphy Hogback Trail branches off to the left at about half a mile. Continue straight. The first overlook is at 1.6 miles towards the north with Soda Spring Basin and Candlestick Tower. Continue further and you'll be treated to views of Murphy Basin and even the Green River. The trail is no distinctive end, so feel free to explore Murphy Point.

Great views at the edge of the Island in the Sky district. Easy rolling trail, beautiful views at the end.
