There is a wash at the beginning of the trail that is subject to flash floods during the wet season.

Description

The spring isn't guaranteed to have water in it based on the season but there are several interesting displays of geology in the form of walls and boulders. Keep an eye out for a couple geodes scattered in with the rubble along the trail. Remember to always leave what you find.

Flora & Fauna

Walking Stick Cactus and Prickly Pear grow along the entire trail.

Bird nest in a cactus on the side of the trail. Big Bend is great for birding, so keep your eyes out as you hike the trail.
