Description
An area straight out of prehistoric times. This large canyon is completely covered with Ferns and it follows a small stream that empties into the Pacific Ocean. Small sections of boardwalk and dirt paths meander through this giant canyon, which is a MUST while in the Redwoods area.
Short Hike: Small road through old growth forest leads to parking area. Possible stream crossings in spring/early summer.
Family Friendly: This is easily accessible, great for kids.

Tried to do the hike; this page ABSOLUTELY MUST say that there is a permit required in advance. I was very let down.

Really pretty and a nice hike but be prepared to hike through ankle deep water. bring waterproof hiking boots or water shoes.

Went clockwise which ended the loop in the canyon. Hiking the other direction was signed better
